Greetings from Pro-Tel Consultancy in this very cold start to 2010 – it seems like ages since I have made any updates on my web site and blog, I have however been very busy and not just lazy 
. I am currently expanding on the SEO Services and I am now offering Web Design Services which include support of Word Press, HTML, CSS and PHP.
Currently I am looking into hosting web sites to customers and will hopefully have an arrangement with my ISP in the next few weeks, so I will keep you posted. I am also currently setting up an apache server running php at home, which will enable me to do some development work for my customers who either run or require php pages for their web sites.
Talking of customers, I have also been very busy helping out VIS-a-VIDEO, the Award winning wedding video company – OK I am very biased as it belongs to my wife Ines Telling, who won an award this year for her creative and artistic wedding videos.
I work for Ines in two roles, one as a SEO and Web Design consultant and secondly as a Harry. I basically park the car at the church and wedding venues, and then I assist by setting up the second camera and then film with the third camera if required. This is very enjoyable as I get chance to see Ines at work and also meet the Bride & Grooms, plus we get chance to travel around the country together and spend some quality time.
Ines is not just filming wedding videos in Surrey but recently I have accompanied her to Hitcham in Suffolk, Gherkin building in London, Notley Abbey in Thame, Cain Manor in Hampshire and recently Reigate Hill back in Surrey.
Once I can get the Apache Server and php up and running, I am hoping to change some of the layout to her web site, this will include some php functions and removing the html tables and creating the layout in external style sheet.
I am currently working with some local clients, and these include a Wedding Photographer in Lewes, Health Clinic and Spa in Dorking and recently a company that specialises in removing the wrong fuel in your car! – Jon who is based in Dorking but covers London and the whole of the South East of England assists drivers who have accidentally fuel their car with the wrong type of fuel, i.e. they have filled up with petrol in their diesel car or diesel in their petrol car.

Only yesterday, 2 Jan 2010, Jon saved the day after a gentleman had put the wrong fuel in his car while travelling from Edinburgh to Gatwick Airport to take his family on holiday to the Caribbean. This particular gentleman had to get towed to the Long Term Car Park in Gatwick, he then rang Jon from the Caribbean to arrange for Jon to meet him at Gatwick Airport on the 2nd Jan – Ironically Jon was in Thailand on his Christmas vacation, sometimes the internet is a wonderful tool – Are you making best use of it?

Returning back to work
Well it has being a busy few days, as I have just started to return to work since my mountain bike accident in June and I have to ensure the daily commute on the M25 to the airport twice a day, which reminded me of why I was starting to hate the rat run.
Pro-Tel Consultancy has also been busy and I also had the opportunity to meet up with Adam James, the wedding photographer from Lewes in Sussex. Ines had worked with Adam at a Wedding at Horsted Place earlier in the year,click on Horsted Place to read full story.
I was helping Adam with some search engine optimisation, web design and installation and setting up of Word Press.
Other companies I am working with include Suzie from the fab Melville Clinic near Dorking, I am assisting with some Word press content and optimisation, plus showing Melville Clinic the importance of social media and have now got Suzie up and running on Face book and Twitter. Suzie advises that not only is she finding old school chums she is actually getting business from the live twitter search, as she had a customer contact her reference the new Scalar Wave Laser machine she is currently selling, please read her blog for detailed information and her contact details.
While helping out Suzie, I met up and got to know her husband Jon from Simply Performance, which offer Jaguar enthusiasts quality parts, old, new and reconditioned for a variety of Jaguars and derivatives such as Cobras and Listers.Please have a look at Jon’s website for your jaguar parts
Jon asked me if I could assist with setting up of a small web site for his new business, Petrol Diesel Fix, as he likes to call it, this business is for customers who have put the wrong fuel in their car, i.e. petrol in a diesel car and diesel in a petrol car. I asked Jon if this happens a lot? His reply was “You would be surprised!” which got me thinking, if you have driven a petrol car for 10 years and the with the Government offering the incentive to exchange you old car for a new car, why not purchase a diesel, and I guess that’s where the mistakes happen.

My main client, VIS-a-VIDEO is off on another busy weekend with a church service in Thames Ditton and then the wedding reception at the Grove in Hertfordshire, she certainly is a busy wedding videographer
Which on a final note I have noticed a lot of Twitter accounts getting hacked lately with streams of DM’s asking me to check out new ring tones.

VIS-à-VIDEO Highly Commended for Best Wedding Day Film 2009

VIS-à-VIDEO wins prize as IOV Convention 2009
2009 is proving to be another great year for Ines Telling from Vis-à-Video of Epsom Downs, Surrey. She was awarded a ‘Highly Commended’ place in the ‘Best Wedding Day Film 2009′ category against extremely tough competition. Ines is also enjoying a successful year despite the economic recession and currently has four weddings booked for December – truly “Winter Weddings” and is already showing positive signs for 2010 with 10 bookings already confirmed.
Recently, Ines has worked at Oaksfarm, a rustic and truly idyllic wedding venue located between Shirley and Croydon and met for the first time a lovely wedding photographer who is based no more than 2 miles from VIS-à-VIDEO. Jane’s studio is based in Banstead and further information can be gleamed off her web site.
On Sunday Ines was then at the top of the M25 working in Hertfordshire at a new Wedding Venue - Theobalds Park, a hotel chain run by the De Vere Group, this time she was filming her first civil partnership of a close friend and Wedding Photographer Neil Bailey
I asked Ines about her current Internet Marketing and Advertising Campaign for 2009 and 2010 – She says it is really down to good web site management, including proper use of her HTML tags, ensuring she has good readable content and has her blog updated weekly. She is also making full use of Social Media and Marketing, like her twitter and facebook accounts, which she is keen to update on a regular basis.
I asked Ines where she finds the time do all this… she smiled and said she was married to a SEO Consultant who managed that side of the business …. lucky her

More great news for Ines Telling of Vis-à-Video, on Friday she joined the Approved Suppliers List for London’s 30 St Mary Axe aka London Gherkin. This has to be one of the best Wedding Venues in London offering spectacular views of this beautiful city.
Recently Ines from Vis-a-Video filmed the Wedding of Philly & Peter, here is a short Wedding Show reel of their London Wedding.

Vis-à-Video launch YouTube Channel

Today we launched the new and exciting YouTube of Vis-à-Video, with great samples of her Wedding Video show reels which can now be viewed on your mobile devices. We are working very closely with a major Wedding Venue Company in Buckinghamshire to get Ines to be their preferred Wedding Videographer, hopefully we will have some news in the early part of next week, as soon as I get any news I will be able to update you.

SEO consultant works with top Wedding Videographer

Pro-Tel Consultancy – Working with Vis-a-Video – Oxford and Thame
Hi
Been a couple of weeks since I have had chance to catch up with my blog, I recently had another x-ray on my shoulder and ribs after the bicycle accident in June, looks like the ribs are healing but the shoulder blade is still broken, so my hopes of returning to work have now been postponed for another month.
I am off to see a Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon on the 5th October to see if any key-hole surgery is required.
On the SEO front it has been busy, as usual I work for my biggest client – Mrs Telling but I am now starting to do some web design for limousine hire company in Woking and SEO work for a couple of photographers around the country.
As you probably know I specialise mainly in the Wedding Sector but due to my hobbies ie Enduro and Dirt Bikes I am also helping out some companies in the North of England with their SEO.
I started college last week and have enrolled on the CS3 Dreamweaver course for the next 5 weeks, then I can enrol on the intermediate and advanced Dreamweaver Courses.
At the weekend Ines Telling from Vis-à-Video filmed a birthday party in Oxford on the Saturday night, followed by a Wedding at Notley Abbey near Thame in Buckinghamshire, no wonder she is one of the best Wedding Videographers in the country.
While at the birthday party Ines managed to grab dinner with Mike d’Abo of Manfred Mann Group and got to chance to watch him perform with his band Mike d’Abo & His Mighty Quintet .

News from the Surrey based SEO Consultancy | Solutions aimed for the Wedding Sector
Been very busy working with VIS-a-VIDEO on optimising their site , The Wedding Video Company is now on page 2 from page 100 on the keywords “Wedding Video” , ” Wedding Videos” and “Wedding videographer“.. as you know it is very difficult to get on the 2 pages on Google with only 2 keywords , it has always been suggested to work towards 3 keywords … ie “Wedding Videographer London”
Always looking to find site that are good and free , and one this week is PageHammer and site that lets you monitor changes on your web site but also on the competitions web site ,, so it’s worth signing up for an account and having a look..
On the Apple MAC front one of the nicest apps that I have found recently is Lingon , which enables you the administrator to Edit and create launchd configuration files in Mac OS X Leopard.
