My aim at Pro-Tel is to assist the little guys, i.e. the self-employed wedding photographers, make-up artists and privately owned wedding venues to name but just a few with good organic and affordable search engine optimisation and web design.
As you will have seen or read on the website and blog I started Search Engine Optimisation or SEO to assist Ines Telling with her website Vis-à-Video. The site has been established since 2001, but had no optimisation in the title – description – keywords.
Back then the site did not have any keyword prominence or density, we did not even understand what those terms meant.
Over the last six months using good organic and established “white hat” techniques I have taken Vis-à-Video steadily up the page rankings. Today Vis -à-Video will show on page 1 or 2 for a two key word search “Wedding Videos” – This in itself is amazing – as most couples will extend beyond the 2 keyword phrase to a 3 – 4 keyword phrase ie “Wedding Video at Highclere Castle”
So why offer this service then? Good question – two reasons mainly, first understanding the complexity of page rankings not just Google is actually rather interesting. I sort of see tweaking a website the same as a race engineer on either a F1 or MotoGP team does with setting up the suspension or trying to get that extra 1/10th per lap out of the engine. It’s not quite the same but I guess you understand the relationship.
Second if you can tweak one website and help one person, why not offer this service to other small – medium size companies in the wedding sector at an affordable price – plus I am a sucker for the under dog
